I want to stalk Morrissey’s old haunts :)

My favorite thing about Albuquerque is the food. Sopipias are AMAZING. They are a pastry unique to New Mexico (and a few other parts of the southwest US) and you can eat them plain with honey or stuffed with meat, beans & cheese. The ones at Pete’s Cafe in the small town Belen outside of Albuquerque are the BEST.

For fast food: Bob’s Burgers has reeeaaaally good chili burgers & chili dogs. The chili is actually HOT like it should be.
Also Alotta Burgers are good & have some yummy cherry shakes.

Other cool things: the pink freeways & the gorgeous purple mesas.

It’s also nice to go somewhere in the US where people know the difference between being Spanish and Mexican. People in Cali can’t grasp that concept…

It’s worth visiting to go to D-land and the beach. Some of the beaches are really pretty there. It’s mostly all suburban and some people are really materialistic and status conscience there (of course, not everyone).

San Diego is really pretty, with perfect weather. I don’t live that far away, but I still don’t know it very well.
I need to hang out there more.

It’s a sprawling, diverse city. Lots of museums, shopping, and places to hear music.
I wouldn’t want to live right in the city, but it’s fun to visit & hang out in. I’m happy to live close enough to visit whenever I want.
