I’m leaving at 7 am for Whistler. I have been told that the sking is still open, but I plan on resting, relaxing, shopping and going to the art galleries.

Can you tell I’m excited?

I have been to British Columbia many times. I want to go back!

First time was when I was a kid for the Expo/world’s fair. I went there with my girl scout troop. But I think I was too young to know what a big deal it was.

My father took me up to William’s Lake when I was a teen for a week of “real fishing” they put us in a float plane and dropped us off at a beach for a couple day. But my best memories of that trip is from the stampede/rodeo. I think the locals there work hard and play harder. Never seen anything quite like that in my life.

About 8 years ago I went Vancouver, I regret that we only stayed one night. A group of my friends and I went up for a Vancouver Canucks Hockey game. (Sadly, They lost to the Colorado Avalanche) then the next day we went to the Stanley Park aquarium. Next time I have a chance to go to Vancouver I will stay much longer.

I have 2 upcoming opportunities to go to British Columbia. My husband and I will be going to Whistler this spring, and he is already talking about maybe another weekend vacation to Victoria.

I want to go to Philadelphia because of all the great history there. Philadelphia has enough parks, museums and historical sites to keep me busy for a long time.
