Maysville, Kentucky

Try living here!

About a year ago, I moved from an area close to Chicago to this little town. I used to love VISITING this place as a child, but living here is an entirely different story.

Madison, Wisconsin

It's been a while...

I lived in Madison, Wisconsin for a summer. My family used to move a lot and we never stayed in one place for too long. I don’t remember exactly how old I was, but I made lot of friends and was sad that I couldn’t start school there. Oh, yeah, and there are a ridiculous amount of public swimming pools there. That’s all I remember.

Chicago, Cook County

Untitled

I used to live on the outskirts of Chicago. I now live in a small town in Kentucky and I’m longing to go back to the city. Most of the people in this hicktown are oblivious about city life. Most of them have never been to a museum and viewed a dinosaur skelton, seen a play, been to a massive zoo or aquarium, seen a skyline, rode a train, been at a stoplight for an hour, or looked up at a skyscraper. It is insane. I would almost say that I feel bad for these people but, for whatever reason, most of them scoff at the very mention of Chicago and insist on “reppin’” their hometown. Whatever. I intend on living in Chicago, even if for just a short period of time, just so I can get it out of my system, so to speak. I can’t dwell on one area for too terribly long…I have quite a lengthy list of places I want to visist/live and only one short lifetime to do so.

The picture above is of Lake Michigan. I took it on the Spirit of Chicago boat cruise I went on for 8th grade “graduation”. It’s dreary, gray, and foggy…but I love it nonetheless!
