There is no place like it on earth. It is exactly what it says it is. Go during a celebration if you don’t want to die of boredom.

When I was a teenager we used to stay here every year for a week. It was a long drive in the car, there are no televisions in the room, no cars, no video games etc. There are lots of adults, some with grey hair… at the time it seemed like torture. Torture with great food, but torture.

As a 35 year old, no cars, no tvs & no radios sounds like a dream.

The food is extraordinary. I’m a foodie, I’m married to a chef and I can honestly say this place has some of the best food I’ve had in my lifetime. It also has the world’s longest porch!

I’m an idiot… I thought the turtles were cute. Lovable even. OOOH pet the cute turtle and have your picture taken holding the turtle!

I thought they were breeding turtles so they didn’t become endangered or something. I felt like a moron when I found out they are being raised for turtle soup.

This place is worth visiting just because it is so unique and somewhat conveniently located. However, the only thing to do is look at the weird landscape on the other side of the fencing (you can’t walk on it) and shop for “I went to Hell” tshirts and other knicknacks in the adjoining shop.

Also, mail your postcards from here, they will get postmarked from Hell.

It has been a long time since I dined here, and at that time the food was fabulous. The view was even better. Beware, if you are sensitive to motion, this building does sway and can give people motion sickness.

The view is totally different than the one from The Stratosphere and well worth the $.

These little treats are wonderful! Beware, they are LOADED with powdered sugar. We had a great time eating them, licking our fingers, then trying to dust off all of the white powder we were all wearing.

Go. Share some beignets, watch the tourists go by. Listen to the jazz music from the sidewalk. Relax. Give yourself a second to simply enjoy sitting in the Cafe Du Monde, soaking in New Orleans.

You can have your photo taken holding a koala here… and feed baby kangaroos.

Just remember one thing, kangaroos are pests in Australia, not cutesy little furry things. They are on the menu in some restaurants. No, I am not kidding.

The day I spent there was one of the days where the moon is in the sky most of the day. I took photos in black and white… it looks like a moonscape in many of the pictures, except for this big beautiful full moon in the background.

The people here, and most places in Turkey are wonderful and very well versed in the history of the area. Don’t miss the underground cities.

Take batteries… they can be hard to find in areas this remote.

I’ve gone to Prague twice… can’t wait to go again. I love the art vendors on the bridge. They aren’t selling crap, they sell photography and sketches and things like that.

Fabulous place for taking photos. Pay the few dollars and go to the top of the bridge, an amazing few to be had… plenty of steps though!
