Iceland at last
Iceland’s rugged beauty is what makes it so mysterious and alluring. Also, the sheer variety of geographical (big words;) attractions which it contains. Over the last week I saw glaciers, amzing waterfalls, Geysir – where there are pools of boiling water which shoot up…I’m not sure exactly but quite high, into the air, quite a spectacular sight. Bubbling mud pools, puffins, weird basaltic column formations in cliffs…the list goes on. We also swam in the Blue Lagoon (a must if you’re planning on visiting the south of Iceland) which was a fantastic eperience. Expensive food and drink, awful roads, cold weather…what more could you want? :P

Untitled
Ahhhh! My grandparents grew up in Portsmouth and they used to take me and my sister down to Old Portsmouth a lot. It’s a great place – cobbled streets, fresh sea breeze, historic buildings, the docks with all the ferries and fishing boats going in and out. A truly fascinating place that holds so many wonderful memories for me. I havn’t been there since my grandfather died two years ago, but I’d love to go baack there one day.
