Oh, the caves!

We passed through on a cross-country road trip and stayed long enough to visit a tourist-modified cave (no technical spelunking). I can’t remember the name of the cave, but there was this huge tall chamber with this magnificent waterfall there in the dark with beautiful lighting. I wish I had had a good camera. I love cave formations. Shows God’s glorious works!

Just drove through

I know there is historic stuff there. That is cool. I drove through on a road trip and missed really digging in. Fortunately we didn’t go where all the sin stuff was. Maybe I will get to have some Cajun cookin’ if I ever visit there again.

Road hypnosis

Maybe I didn’t find anything worth visiting there, but that does not mean someone else wouldn’t. It is flat farmland, and you get road hypnosis driving straight through on a road trip like I did. Make sure if you are driving straight through that you have some cold air, caffeine and loud music (and maybe a friend) to help you stay awake! I got stranded at a gas station during a blizzard the last time I drove through, but the people were plenty nice.
