You can’t exactly call it a hoot. Interesting, however. And quite thought provoking.

Errr, yeah, don’t end up in the wrong parts of town. Unless of course you’re looking for some moderately priced sex and an STD. Oh, and cab drivers who have knives stood in purposefully crafted knife holders on the dashboard. In the right parts, this city is amazing.

After several hours in this city, I was still wondering where it was. Maybe I didn’t spend long enough there, but the impression I got was nothing but a bunch of boring looking buildings. sigh

This is one of those cities where you go, don’t complain, find it all nice, but don’t really want to go back. I have nothing bad to say about it, but I can’t quite say it’s amazing.

We got a cab to Gary from downtown Chicago (it was, like, a $140 roundtrip). Why? I have no idea. If anything, it opened up my eyes to the poverty that’s still very much present in the world’s richest country. It’s sort of depressing.

I’m not exactly hyper-religious, but I took up the opportunity to go to Lourdes and, as it happens, became the best trip of 2007. Most of that was down to the people I went with, but whatever. It’s pretty ace.

I don’t really like Spain. It warped my mind as a child, and I seem to always associate it with drunken, fat, pale British people, lacking in culture and balls to go somewhere that doesn’t offer 100% of their home comforts at 50% the quality.

The buildings are large. As are the people. This is, without doubt, the fattest city I’ve visited in America since Orlando in 2000. But you can’t really blame the people (wait…you can). Food comes on plates the size of small nations, and even police move around on Segways. I wouldn’t suggest going there in the summer. Like most cities, you’ll walk around a lot, and it can get uncomfeotable.

Beautiful city. Every person is good looking. Every food is stupidly good. Every road is filled with traffic and people whose driving skill should put them in jail. I likes!
