Very cool to imagine people living in the old city as you’re standing on ancient mosaic floors. It was SO hot the day I went so bring a hat if you go anytime in June! I was only disappointed by the amphitheatre because when I visited it, there was a concert playing that night and so a huge stage was set up right in front of the theatre, blocking the great ocean views. It definitely took away from the feeling, but I still suggest going – maybe you’ll be lucky and have no stage in the way. Then I found out it was Idan Raichel playing there and I forgave him a bit because his music is amazing. =)

The metro was amazing and easy to understand and learn. I was in Paris for a week and mastered the routes by the second day. Granted, I found that walking around was more my thing but when I was tired, feet were hurting and stomach was rumbling, I was able to jump on the metro and get back to my hostel in no time. Also, I liked the little pink bunny rabbit stickers on the doors showing what would happen if you let the doors close on you. Not sure if those are still around

I’ll be there in 11 days from now! Last time I visited was 2 years ago. I can’t wait to see my grandma and other family members. Going to tour around this time as well and climb Masada again, swim in the Dead Sea, and visit friends down in Eilat. I’m even looking forward to the heat =)

Tofino was amazing and a breath of fresh air. Went with 2 friends, stayed at the Whaler’s HI hostel (was affordable, clean, and good location) and explored the beaches each day. Just know that a car is handy to have to explore the beaches. We didn’t have one and just walked to the closest beach (Mackenzie) and it took us 25min. Next time I go, I’ll rent a car, which will allow for more freedom.

Also, we went whale watching and saw 7 humpbacks, 1 grey whale, 5 bald eagles, california sea lions, harbour seals, river otters, and 3 black bears! We went with Aquatic Safaris and they had the best boat and friendliest crew.

Surfing is definitely a must and the water was not cold at all with the wetsuit and booties. We took lessons through Pacific Surf School and no complaints – was able to stand up and ride waves the whole lesson thanks to the instructors.

Definitely spend 5-7 days in Tofino so you can experience the town in a relaxed fashion without having to cram all the good stuff into 2-3 days. Enjoy and happy surfing!

I imagine this place to be so big that it feels like you’re on a different planet. at least that’s what I’ve been told by somebody who went there many years ago. A natural wonder of the world – I’ve gotta see it with my own eyes!

Living in Whistler, BC, I have met so many British people and the large majority of them have been so kind and great to hang out with. Now that I have contacts, I’d love to do a good month of couch surfing around the country and see more than just touristy London. I’m hoping for next summer!

I’ve always wanted to go to India ever since I was young and heard all the travel stories that my mom and dad shared with me from when they were in their 20s. Not only that but I LOVE Indian food! I’m just waiting to make enough money to be able to travel around India for at least a month if not more. Also, I’d like to do a few weeks of volunteer work with a nonprofit while I’m there. My estimated plan to do this is 2 summers from now.

My friends and I hiked to Cheakamus lake and thought it was gorgeous. We continued along the trail and ended up on another trail and reached Singing Creek. Beautiful area, we were the only ones there and a nice open rocky beach was our resting place for a couple hours. We tested the water and it was freezing – considering the glacier runoff of the creek entered the lake 10 meters from where we were swimming. But it felt great and the views of the snowy mountain tops and turquoise waters were spectacular. An easy hike with not much incline. The only downfall for us was that we had to walk the Forest Service Road (7km) because we had no car. Would not suggest that at all, the mosquitos were absolutely lethal.

I would love to live and work a winter season at one of the ski resorts. I hear the snow is unbelievable. I’d also like to experience warm weather as well though. I better plan the trip right! haha

This is where I worked for the 07-08 winter season. Best views of 7th Heaven runs on Blackcomb and when the weather is nice, it’s the #1 spot to see Whistler, Black Tusk, and the surrounding mountains while chomping on a burger from the BBQ
