The whole thing with gondola rides seems overly touristy and overrated. I had more fun chatting in the sidestreets of Venice with local kids than on the $100 USD gondola ride I was invited to join.

When I was living in Brantford Ontario during high school in the 90’s I ran away from home in a huge teenage huff and walked all the way to Paris. What a dork!

This place is absolutely without a doubt paradise on earth. Also, it has special meaning for me because it is the place I was when I found out I was pregnant with my first child, a joyous day.

I was in Kigali with my friends Luca and Luca, what a tense and beautiful place. I feel great respect for all those in Rwanda who have the strength to show compassion to one another.

If you’re moving to Iqaluit and you want to go out at night while you’re there, make sure you get a membership at the local Legion in your town down south before you come up. That way you won’t be constantly begging the locals to get you in on Friday and Saturday nights!

I met the greatest friends in this place, who made me into a better person, and who opened me up to sharing some wonderful good times and working less.
