Imagine an oil rich middle eastern country where everyone speaks english. Imagine Las Vegas on speed and Disney Land on crack. Imagine construction 24/7 building all the biggest/best/most expensive/elaborate projects ever made. If you can imagine all this then you’re starting to imagine Dubai. I’ve been there, and if I don’t go back within a year I won’t recognize all the new things. This area is growing exponentially, and it’s safe, clean, and friendly for tourists. If you ever get the chance don’t miss out!

I’m half Turkish, so my mother’s aunts and uncles all live over here. My older sister has been amrried and living here for 10 years now. I’ve come to this beautiful country almost 10 times.

This place is amazing and so rich with history I love it. The downside is there is A LOT to do here. it’s not the place you can come for a few days and see everything. But if you’re here and you only have a little time definately go to the grand bazaar (try not to get lost, and don’t pay full price for ANYTHING!) You have to negotiate and bargain with people there. It’s part of what makes the experience fun. And any of the old palaces that have been converted into museums are worth looking at. Just make sure you try to arrange for a tour when you go so you know what everything is.

Oh, and by the way…that’s just Istanbul one of the main cities. If you want you can go to Ankara, or Bursa, or to the southern sea shore. See what I mean about needing a lot of time?!
