Museum Of Jurassic Technology

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Wacky.

I wouldn’t say this place is completely awesome, but it was interesting. Most of the very random displays didn’t have very good documentation, so you really didn’t know what you were looking at a lot of the time. I was there last year, & there were a displays about:
-collections of people who happen to live in trailor parks
-dice owned by this famous magician who has a dice collection
-old medical myths illustrated (like, “to cure a cough, eat 10 hairs from a blonde virgin” (I made that up, don’t try it))
-a display about chemical sublimation
Other random things. So I can’t say I learned anything, or like, really enjoyed myself, but it was a funny place to go, just because it was really random.

Pucón

(in Chile)

Worth visiting!

I just spent 8 days in Pucón. It was a beautiful place. It looked more German or Swiss than Chilean, I thought, but it was a cute town, surrounded by beautiful mountains, the big volcano, and a pretty lake with a black sand beach. I also went hiking in the mountains & river rafting, which were both quite fun. It was a great town to visit!

Paltas!

I just got back from an amazing trip to Chile! I loved it! Definitely go there if you get the chance! It was beautiful, and the people were super friendly, and they had the most delicious avocados! Man, did I eat a lot of avocados!

Greifswald

(in Germany)

Worth visiting!

My school has an exhange with the school in Greifswald, so I went there for a few days. I thought it was going to be quite ugly, since it’s in Eastern Germany. But it wasn’t! It was a really nice, cute little town! Everyone was really friendly, there’s a nice cathedral, and it was a fairly short drive to the beach.

Kiruna

Worth visiting!

Cold, but awesome!

I had so much fun in Kiruna! I went in December, & it was 30 degrees below, and I froze my tushie off. I went cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ate reindeer, saw the ice hotel, and made out with a Canadian guy. It was awesome! The ice hotel was the coolest thing; I wish I could have stayed there! The only thing I was disappointed over was that I missed seeing the Northern Lights because ti was overcast.

Lund

(in Sweden > Skåne)

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Beautiful old buildings, cobblestone streets, a cathedral… Lund is an neat town to just walk around in. The student life is great, but if you don’t go to school there aren’t a lot of places to go out. Lots of tasty restaurants and some cool stores, too.

It was very rainy when I was there, but it looked like an awesome place! I’d love to go back when it’s not raining, but I hear that’s pretty rare!

One of my favorite cities! My favorite place is Frognerparken (aka Vigelandsparken), the park shown in the photos with the naked statues. The whole city is nice, though, especially in the summer!

Lots of rich people’s houses, tons of restaurants, ritzy stores, beautiful beaches, UCSD, an aquarium, and expensive rent! What’s not to love?!
