I leave in less than 48 hours… I’m thrilled! :)

Two weeks from today, I’ll be leaving for Italy! I’m all too thrilled… Any last minute suggestions as to where to visit in Rome or Florence?!

I’m leaving in early November! I just got my tickets for Florence ( or Firenze apparently). I’ll be there for a total of 10 days with a weekend in Rome…. I’m SO completely thrilled. One of my really good friends is living there for a few months for school, and thought that would be an amazing opportunity to do some traveling and enjoy a little adventure with someone I KNOW will be a great traveling companion. YAY! I look forward to learning as much about Firenze before I leave so that I am educated enough to know what not to miss, and be a respectful part of the world’s community for a couple of weeks… Nothing worse than insisting that the “DUMB AMERICAN” stereotype is correct. I’ve traveled quite a bit already, and learned some tricks of the trade…
I know this trip will be one to remember and cherish always….
Any suggestions while I’m there?!

The first night I went there it was alright… The music was okay, but the bartender and bouncer were pretty great!
The people kind of bit that night, but the place redeemed itself the next night… I had an amazing time there watching Rare Medium and hangin with a good friend….
All in all a great place… 24oz St.Pauly girl for $5…. Not a bad deal!
I will definitely be back here again…

It’s this little bar on Cedar in Minneapolis. I actually went to see a band that I met in Boston, on their way through… Then, I made friends with the other band, who’s set I missed… Oh well! It was crazy to see people here in Minnesota that I had only met a few weeks ago in Boston! Pretty cool place though… Want to start helping them with their booking…

My best friend Katie and I used to sneak out of the house and drive hours to the middle of nowhere Willmar, MN to hang out with boys. :) We rocked. (Or absolutely still rock…!)

I lived in Minnesota until I was 19 and then moved to MA for the last 5 years… I loved the people most of all and miss the sincere kindness…! :)

ha ha… I can’t believe that many people wanna go to a mall!!!
It is kind of fun though, but since I’m originally from Minnesota, and live 15-20 away from MOA (what we actually call it) it isn’t quite as cool for me. Have fun though… Lots of things to do there!! Just don’t forget to get out of the Mall and into Minneapolis (preferably Uptown for those who like good music, bars, coffee and lots of different looking kids!) and explore a little… I’ve actually heard of people flying to Minnesota, spending their entire time at the mall and flying home. That’s just sad…!!!!

I’ve been here a few times and it’s been wonderful! I’ve been all over, and not just Amsterdam, which is TOTALLY rad BTW….
Last time I hit up a couple of cafes and spent the day in the Van Gogh museum… I was there during Amsterdam’s famous “Cup” experience… Too many lame Americans if you ask me. I’m not a self loathing US Citizen, I just wish americans could learn a little more before traveling. Quit expecting everyone to speak your language. It embarrasses us all when we travel. Watch out for the bikes though… They’ll straight up run you over!!!! Have a good time, and don’t smoke too much!
