Ontario

(in Canada)

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Probably the most diverse bit of North American society

Do you want to see big buildings, small buildings, different people, lots of lakes and even more trees? Do you want to eat bagels, drink coffee, travel on the world’s busiest highway, be constantly busy and relax with your family in front of a sunset by the Niagara Falls? Well if you’ve answered “sounds good, eh?” to most of those questions, then I don’t see why you wouldn’t like Ontario. Beside it being one of the busiest places on Earth, it’s also one of the quietest. Toronto is a huge city that never sleeps, or tries not to, but beyond it there’s farms, fields and towns where people just live their simple lives day in and day out. Personally, I don’t find Ontario exciting, but it has other things to focus on. Depending on what you’re looking for, this big little province might be the ideal place for you!

A tip I have about this place

You’ll either love it or hate it right away. Depends on where you go, what you expect, what you can see and what you have time for. Personally, it’s an amazing place. It teaches you a lot about values, life, people, and it’s also a very interesting culture worth learning about. I mean if Transylvania, art, soccer, and some of the most beautiful women in that part of Europe don’t get you interested, you’ve got a problem! :p

How this place changed my life

I fell in love with Turkey when I went there! It’s just a totally different lifestyle from what most people are used to, especially in the western society. Everyone is really friendly, warm-hearted and cheerful. The beaches are amazing (watch the sea bottom though :p) and nature in general is beautiful. I only got to visit a very small part of the Turkish coast, but I can recommend it to everyone. And try their tea, you’ll never want to stop drinking it! Go to the different markets around the cities and try all their foods (you’ll have good/bad memories about them, but you definitely won’t forget them). A really nice place for sure! :)

Why I recommend this place to visitors

We were driving around Sofia and it seemed really a very dull city at first, probably because I was tired. But it still had that Eastern European feeling about it and all the buildings, even if not new, modern and sophisticated, all the roads and the whole landscape of the city were really pleasant and unique. The same thing I could say about the countryside, which I won’t lie, is not always enchantingly beautiful, but the people are amazingly friendly and welcoming, and even the simple, old nature of things makes you feel like you’ve gained something new from the whole experience there.
