Make sure to do Journey Behind the Falls. I thought it was much cooler than the Maid of the Mist. But, maybe that’s just me.

It’s a tourist trap, but it’s a fun tourist trap! If you have kids, then it’d be more fun. Or, if you aren’t a wet blanket, it’ll be fun.

Breathtaking. Try to time your drive or hike so you are coming in around dusk. Seeing a sunset over the Badlands creates more colors than you can imagine.

I really enjoyed seeing Mt. Rushmore. And the little town around it was fun to visit, too. South Dakota is beautiful and Mt. Rushmore is just another part of its charm.

The pyramid and all the paintings are amazing!
