There’s more than just the government and monuments and memorials and museums. Though nothing in comparison to Vegas or New York, there is a decent night life and a decent number of cultural activities that will fit just about any taste.

The 22nd US Go Congress will be held here. Will probably only have one day free to go see anything, but would like suggestions on what to go see (keep in mind I’ll have very little to spend).

I’ve never personally scene any place as strikingly beautiful. Can’t wait to go back again and again.

I visited here for a week a number of years ago, visiting friends in the service. Would like to go back when I have some understanding of the language in order to do it properly.

Stayed for a couple days at the SageBrush inn and got to visit the Fechin museum. I highly recommend both. Also had good Thai food and chai and not so good sushi.

Just drove through quickly about a week ago. Lovely buildings on main street, but I got the impressiong that one good earthquake and it would look like any strip mall in the U.S.. Hope to find out how the real thing compares to my impressions that day.

Just drove through about a week ago. In terms of a kitschy, carnival atmosphere, I’ve never seen anything like it. It vied w. Vegas and Disney and the Ocean City boardwalk. I hope to go back and do all the corny rides and activities.

Spent summers visiting my park ranger uncle here as a kid. The colors are amazing.
