I only added this because the pictures here make it look absolutely lovely and fascinating. I guess there are worse (or more random) reasons to add a place to the list, but it’s more of a whim than most of the places I’ve listed.

It was fun and I’m glad we went – but I can’t see going back. There’s lots of odd things to see and do and I enjoyed the quirkiness. I got tired of buffets though.

Even the touristy things are fun—which makes planning more convenient. I did minimal tour book research and we still had a blast. It’s a great place to just walk around and explore.

I love the vitality and the energy of this place, which is ultimately due to the people that live here.

My favorite thing to do in Chicago is just walk around downtown (the loop area) – just people watch and look at architecture and art. There is so much outdoor sculpture that you can’t go far without seeing some.
