I’ve been here several times since I moved to Texas, but my last visit was quite memorable. My mother came out from California to watch my son, and I got to stay in a cottage rental for 4 days of sleeping in, all the reading I could handle, and long walks through the neighborhood. The cottage had a full kitchen, so I could make whatever I wanted, and didn’t have to worry about anyone else’s dietary pickiness. On my last day there, I also managed to visit some of the historic landmarks I’d missed the last time around, and I also scattered several BookCrossing wild releases around town (including a nearby rest home).

Spent the better part of a day here during a 4th-grade field trip.

Visited this twice, the first during the obligatory 4th grade daytrip, and the other with Upward Bound.
