I love Athens. It’s lively and wonderful. There are oodles of things to do; you can pursue high culture by heading to museums or to archeological sites, or you can head toward taverns and immerse yourself in a more casual kind of pursuit. Great shopping, great weather, great local people who are friendly and accommodating.
over 6 years agofish tacos, great little town to get lost in for a couple of weeks. I went in August when it was really hot, though—I’d suggest a cooler time of year. But really, it was great—deep sea fishing, hanging out in the local restaurants, drinking, eating and shopping. Very relaxing.
