I went to 6th grade in this town.

So I finally got to go to Florida because I went to training and a conference for work. The weather in April was lovely (at home we had a lot of snow) and I really enjoyed it, even though I had to work most of the time. I hope to go back to visit with my family for a nice vacation.

Thanks to my new job, I’ll be going for training and a conference. There will be at least one free day. It’s going to be in Orlando.

It’s probably a nice place, I might even want to live in San Antonio someday, but I went through basic training there. It wasn’t fun, waking up at five a.m. and getting yelled at a lot. Then when training was almost over and we would be allowed to go into town for sightseeing, there was a hurricane watch and we were restricted to base.

When I went to Chile I was with a church group visiting a missionary involved in prison ministry. During my ten days in Chile I was on the road from Santiago to the northern border and saw the inside of about six prisons. I was in La Serena, Antofagasta, Iquique, and Arica. We also crossed the Tropic of Capricorn on the Pan American Highway. I hope to return someday.
