Uluwatus, O'ahu
The birthplace of Hawaii's skating scene
In the 70’s, guys like Larry Bertlemann and Buttons Kaluhiokalani would show up here and ride these weird boards with wheels on them. They would carve the walls like waves, and stick their hands down on the walls like they were grabbing the water.
Ulus has seen better times as erosion has taken the lower third of the deck into the marina. But the core structure still exists and you can still go there to skate whenever you want.
