Lemongrass, Saint John

mmm Thai!!

Very good food, a tad pricey but worth it. Especially the tofu cashew stirfry. and the peanut sauce goes with anything :) Nicely laid out with smaller rooms, feels very private (you don’t feel like the table next to you is involved in your conversation). Check out the snazzy metallic ceiling :) Definitely a good place to linger after your meal with a coffee or a drink.

City Market, Saint John

The market makes me happy...

The market makes me happy…
Sisters has amazing Italian food, everything has pesto (mmm cheese and pesto pizza!!) They have lots of vegetarians options and really charming ladies working there :)
Java Moose local coffee place, with excellent hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate flakes on top.
24 Carrots home of the Whale (a 14 ingredient salad) and a vegetarian soup every day.
Pete’s Frootique fresh produce and British novelties.

The market also has an excellent selection of fresh cheeses and a place that does great milkshakes (chocolate peanut butter!)

Plus you can buy handmade jewelry, hand knit items, painting, ornaments and more.

Saint John, New Brunswick

Untitled

Only in Saint John….

I was on the bus, and I overheard (as did everyone else on the bus) this 40-ish women yelling into her phone (phone etiquette???) about how she had webbed toes so she always had to buy shoes one size larger so her toes didn’t feel ‘squished’. eew.

Some days I can’t believe I’m spending a year of my life here :)
