Santa Monica, Los Angeles County

Untitled

I was only here for a few hours, a brief stop during my trip to LA. I liked Santa Monica many, many times more than LA, and some time I’d like to go back just to spend more time here.

I went to the Tudor House tearoom and had a delicious sandwich, salad, and a cup of Prince of Wales tea, then went to the next door bakery and bought myself a treacle tart which I ate while walking to the pier. I didn’t like the pier much, it was too crowded for my tastes, however not so much that I wouldn’t give it another chance.

Santa Monica is one of those places where just walking along the street is enjoyable, especially in the bright June sun. Definitely worth visiting.

About a mile away from my current residence. Wonderful community. There’s always something going on at the Dance Palace so check the website

Sonoma, Sonoma County

Untitled

I lived here for four years. It’s more than just wineries!

If I could only give one reccomendation, it would be the Mountain Cemetery on 1st St. West. It looks like just a little cemetery at first glance, but in reality it sprawls up into the hills. If you walk far enough into it you’ll see beautiful crumbling old gravestones surrounded by moss-covered oaks. General Vallejo’s grave is there.
