I went in briefly to meet Nick Stellino who had just made a presentation on the terrace above. The venue was full of vendors and there was live music playing on the stage. The people here were a lot drier than we folks outside with rain pouring all over the place!

The FotoItaliana event started today with a collective exhibition of photography of Italy and tasting of Italian wines. Great atmosphere!

...but not something I’d recommend to go out of your way to view. It is quite a big tree —about 8-10 stories high— and good to visit if you’re around in the neighborhood.

Dr. Heino is the sweetest and caring vet I’ve met in Seattle.

Their sound and image quality are very good, but the size of the theaters is quite small —making it highly probable that you’ll end up watching the movie in your face. You’d expect they’d assign a larger theater for a movie like “The Bourne Ultimatum” in its opening weekend.

The seats are not up to date —the soda holder is located on the back of the seats in front of you instead of the armrest, but I can live with that.

But most importantly, the popcorn is excellent...and a bucket is the way to go ;)

This is a great place to get a few items for Mexican dishes. I’ve found good-quality hibiscus and banana leaves —so hard to find. The only problem is traffic and parking :S

The only bad thing: Parking on Sunday is a nightmare!!

The food was quite greasy (I really shouldn’t be surprised at a Chinese restaurant, but still). The walls are painted white with the menu items posted all over them. Their decoration didn’t have any charm, and our server had such a strong accent it was hard to understand.

It was an OK restaurant, but not one I’ll be returning to.

This small oasis in the middle of Capitol Hill gives us a break from bustling Broadway Ave just a couple of blocks away. You can almost listen to the flute of the wonderful sculpture of Semurg (Bird of Happiness) that beautifies the park and inspires all of us who walk by.

This park is in honor of Seattle’s Sister City of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Located in the middle of Capitol Hill, this modern building of beautiful architecture and tons of light holds a quite busy library branch —almost like the Central Library (with its due proportion). Very nice!
