A tip I have about this place
Succulent tortas! Try the #8 (has pork, swiss cheese, and pretty much everything else) —it takes a little extra time to get it done, but so worth the wait!

This is not my closest branch, but I just happened to drive by and had a book to drop, so it was quite convenient.
What surprised me a bit was that it seems to be recently renovated; however, of all the branches I’ve visited, this one is the smallest by far.
But I appreciate that the Seattle Public Library is making every effort to bring books and other materials closer to people’s homes —even if the branch comes in a small package ;)

When you order a prosciutto pizza, specify that it’s “cotto”. We were very disappointed to find our pizza cooked with regular ham (prosciutto “crudo”) :S
A quirky thing from this place: they give you scissors to slice your pizza!

The view of Mount Rainier, the hills, and Lake Washington —even in overcast days like today— against the boats and poles in the foreground is quite spectacular.

It is a lovely park just off Lake Washington and Leshi Marina.
Today they had just mowed the grass and the smell made it particularly enjoyable :)

This is a cheap option when hungry. Go for the small portion and expect to be filled up for the day. For those not big on meat, choose the vegetarian pho with tofu and mushrooms. Very good!
I would review it, but TaffyAnne already reviewed it perfectly and hilariously! And the profile she depicts is hardly away from reality! lol But I guess that’s part of the restaurant’s folklore ;)

I came into Salumi since my mother insisted on treating us here. I really had no expectations about the place, because I had never heard of it before. The locale is outstanding, very appealing and clean.

After having a sandwich —decent but not great—, I was surprised to learn the hype and famousness of it. Actually one of the sandwiches was served with very little salami and was mostly a huge piece of bread.
Though I wouldn’t say it wasn’t worth it, I was not impressed. I still find it hard to understand why people swear by this place (?!)
