The one-day coach from London will cover the Cotswolds extensively, and It´ll be fun. Great to go with family (I went with my mom)

Spend a week there visiting family, it was such a “classic” american city, like the ones we see in the movies :) very cute

The sensation of having the slums right overhead, with a sniping view to my hotel room was awful. And I´m brazilian ! As much as people from Sao Paulo like to tell stories about traffic jams, the “cariocas” (people from rio) like to tell stories about the URBAN VIOLENCE that takes over the city from time to time. It´s scary, you feel totally helpless in between the police and the drug “army” on the slums.

Don´t get me wrong, it´s a BEAUTIFUL place, from the plane, it´s probably one of the best views I´ve set my eyes upon, and the shores look awesome from the beaches too, but you step into the city, and you´re five-star hotel will be side to side with the ugliest and biggest slums ever.

The carnival ? don´t know, never been, but don´t feel like it. In Brazil, we are pratically forced to watch the damn thing on TV every year from the day we´re born to the day we´re able to buy our own TV sets, so I´m sick of even thinking about it.

Plus, I´m a “rave” person ;)

Tourist info is CRAP, the streets are like a maze, brazilians don´t speak good english, and there´s some violence (but not NEARLY as bad as Rio de Janeiro)

On the plus side there´s the cool nightlife, bug nothing so different that´s worth visiting… stick with your closest big city (London, NT, Paris), or the most famous nightlife places, like Ibiza or something (never been there tough)

If you´re coming for culture or museums, FORGET IT !! That´s all misinformation, you WILL NOT find as much cool/interesting/historical stuff here as much as London or Paris (not NEARLY as much)... all cultural places/things in Sao Paulo wouldn´t fill ONE GALLERY of the National Gallery in London.

London is definetly the center of the world… the british people are amazing, and London is a great place to be. Lived there for a year, and it was great :)
