Muscat

(in Oman)

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

If you’re ever lucky enough to go to Oman, then make the trek. You’ll find the culture a facinating mix of old and modern. the Suk is a must do. The “Carpark” restaurant at the International hotel is a must do. stay at the albustan if you can. Don’t hesitate to take the adventure to Salalah, to drive across the desert is amazing.

My best tip is go to Razal Haj on the coast just south west of Muscat. Go camping on the beach and watch the turtles doing their thing laying eggs, and hundreds of tiny turtles making their way into the surf. It’s an amazing spectical of nature that is a once in a life time experience. this is one of two places in the world these turtle go to lay their eggs.

PS. A game of golf at the Expat course just behind the airport near the beach is an entertaining experience to say the least as the wild camel roam the course.

Seattle

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Max Hotel Seattle and Lucia Hotel Portland Oregon

Both hotels are worth a visit. The rooms are great. Bedding As nice as the Westin, but way less expensive. Clean, comfortable, friendly, 5star service and a wonderful attitude of all the staff.

Not to mention the most amazing art display. Every door, floor and wall is a tribute to the Art of some amazing artist.

It’s a renovated older hotel, and they’ve done a great job. It’s a couple blocks from the Mall and a few more to Pike Place – all walking distance even it’s winter.

Very happening, busy on weekends. Considered the “in” place. Great food, awesome deserts. As I’m from Vancouver, that’s a compliment for any american restaurant. No offense.

A review of this place: Peaches and cream!

I go regularly for a pancake fix. I love the consistancy of the Pannekoek. It’s a crepe like, moist, little bit sweet, buckwheat, creamy milk flavour to the Pannekoek. It’s huge – huge I tell you. 115 one inch bites if you want to know the actual math facts. My favourite is the Peaches and cream, my niece loves the chocolate chip. I rarely vary from the Pannekoek, but then hey, that’s why I go there.

This is an indulgent pancake fix. Yummy
