Go visit Imaloa, the planetarium at the university.

I saw Portland Center Stage’s production of Cabaret here. It was a fabulous show in a beautiful theater.

I had an amazing time on my trip to the painted hills.
The hikes were all easy (save for the desert heat) and each of them provided spectacular views. I saw deer, elk, lizards, and antelope all over the place.
It just so happened that the town of Fossil was hosting a bluegrass festival when I was there too, so my night of camping was extra entertaining.

If you’re interested in fossils, I suggest stopping by the High School in Fossil, OR to hunt for some. It only costs three bucks and you’re guaranteed to find something interesting.

I saw The Wind That Shakes The Barley here. A fantastic movie in a beautiful theater!

There’s not much to it, but you’ve gotta drive through it if you’re headed to Johnston Ridge.
Why not catch the 1980 eruption movie before you head to the volcano?

This is the most chill airport I’ve ever been to. There’s no rush and lots of lounging space.

This is absolutely one of the best museums in the country. If you’re visiting Chicago you shouldn’t let this pass you by!

If you’re flying in, O’Hare is your best option, plain and simple. Midway airport is getting better, though!
