I have good friends in Kelowna….I love the place. Hell…The Grapes of Wrath grew up here…..but I don’t think it to be a Backward Town. Granted, I MIGHT if I grew up here, but I think Buffalo, NY is a backward town, and I grew up there! Yet several people who have gone to visit Buffalo (but don’t live there) love it!!
…must be an issue of perspective!!

Lived here for about 6 months in 1998. IF you were NOT a WWU student, goooood luck finding ANY sort of employment! Geographically beautiful, but not terribly friendly people. Suggest The Quarterback Pub and the arboretum for fun hiking!
over 6 years agoCreeepy Karaoke bars with guys dressed up in Star Trek Uniforms and burley biker gang guys named “Noodles” up on stage singing, red lights in the bathroom (“so our customers can’t find their veins”), The Strathcona, the Empress…..
