Dreamer~

I had an absolute blast. The teachers who’d been showed us around the first day… then I was ready to explore. The sights, sounds and shows are very entertaining!

It was very hot though- you need lots of water and comfortable shoes! It was still 102 degrees at 9:30 p.m. I kinda felt like I was in the Twilight Zone when the heat wave was sweeping through. Go with people who like to have fun~

I received ‘contest’ info from my credit union about a trip sweepstakes. Hawaii popped into my head! I really want to take the kids. At chusch today, I was talking to Dave and he mentioned it… I told him that it’s been on my mind and he told me a story about how he wanted to go (and take his family) and how it all came to pass! He’s holding my desire in his prayers! I’m going to borrow some things from the library to see what I’d like to see ;) He said there are some places he highly recommends and will share them with me! I’m getting excited!

We had a wonderful experience! The trainers were great, the information and materials we obtained were useful and appropriate. After our training was done, we were able to explore downtown…. we had a fabulous time sight-seeing, eating and discovering another city. I’d definitely go back~

If you’re going to eat bread, it may as well be delicious. I love their brioche, challah and sticky buns (you can taste the butter in them). My kids love it here too… whenever I go shopping there, I have to hide a part of it just so it won’t be all gone by the end of the day. Even if you’re afraid of carbs… go at least once. You’ll love it~

I was exploring Flickr and came across this page. Neloqua’s photos are splendid and I’d love to see such beautiful sunsets live and in living color!

But it won’t be with school staff this summer. The district has stated that we won’t be allowed to go after the reporter on Channel 7 exposed the training another school sent their staff on a few weeks ago. The bill was shocking and with our district operating in the red… there would be more press coverage (no doubt) which is bad business. We were scheduled to go to Indianapolis instead. Money is still being spent for professional development, different location…Hmmmm

There may be a Differenciated Instruction training workshop there in July. If so, maybe I’ll go…

But my kids complained…”It’s too hot, too dry, way boring.” I want to go with good company. Maybe I’ll have to do this one with a friend and take the kids somewhere else~

I went as a child and planned to go last summer when we went to the Carribean Festival, but we ran out of time~

And the people are everywhere…
