Last time I was there I was just passing through and stopped at The Bear Cafe for excellent veggie early evening tapas. It was delicious!

I love the place, the building, the art, but I miss Maman, the giant spider sculpture.

Current plan is to leave early 5 or 6 am and drive up there by mid afternoon.

• buy 2 gas canisters
• pack up tent
• get sleeping bags out and air them
• pack clothes
• gather cooking stuff together
• don’t forget sleeping mats this time!

Going here on Saturday with any luck :-). I love Kew. I went last summer and it was glorious. This year I’m looking forward to seeing the Garden’s of Glass exhibition. The Flickr photos of it look amazing.

The museum itself is perhaps the greatest work of art there. The giant spider ‘Maman’ comes a close second. See all the Flickr photos of the Maman spider not only in Bilbao but other places too here

This garden is only open one day a year for one afternoon as it is the artist’s own garden:

“The garden is only occasionally open to the public but, when it is, the interest among gardeners is so great that local roads have been blocked by traffic. It features large mounds of earth with paths circling around them, extensive water features and sculptures of stone, metal and wood.

I just found this place on Flickr by searching for all photos tagged Dumfries and Scotland. It looks amazing! I really want to go there. The reason I was looking for these tags was because the only Flickr photo on here for Dumfries was not of Dumfries Scotland and I knew that there were lots on Flickr.

I’m hoping to spend a week or so here in July. I will be camping and I am really looking forward to it. I’ve been to other places in Wales but somehow never Snowdonia.
