Piroshky-Piroshky

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

it was during the summer of 2008 just last year during a visit to Seattle. Oh my what amazingly delicious confection, sampled the (it might have been) marzipan piroshky. I just remember this distinct sweet definitely rich taste. Then a few stops down from a vendor grabbed a boba-tea, ah such yum.

Disney's California Adventure

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

Fantastic! I think my experience may be a little biased because I traveled with a group, we stayed for five days and had a dual pass to both Disneyland’s theme park across the way and California Adventure’s park. Also this was four years ago, but if they still carry the fast-pass tickets I highly recommend that people take advangate of them. All that’s required is that you grab a ticket (at the easy to find stations) and return at the time alloted, where you may proceed to the sometimes (*most of the time) shorter designated fast pass lane. If it all works out, like it did for my group, you may be allowed to go on ride after ride, getting the most out of your time. However, it’s a bit of excercise which may entail speed walking or jogging, which is always fun and never work as long as you are with a great group of friends. Also, one last thing, bring comfortable walking shoes! If you’re there for more than a day, flimsy sandals are not going to cut it, I know this from a first-hand experience!

Disneyland Park

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: It's a group effort!

I greatly recommend that tourists visiting Disneyland (if possible) travel in groups, and preferably of five to six or more people. In that case individuals may choose to stay together or split up and still have a decent small group. . . because it’s so much more of an enjoyable experience with a group of friends. Also a good factor in making the most of this experience may be surrounding one’s self with people of “like” interests. There’s nothing worse than being stuck in a crowd of “ho-hummers” if you are a thrill ride/ roller coaster junkie like myself. ( note- there’s nothing wrong with “ho-hummers”, it’s just that you want to get your money’s/ time’s worth out of the trip).

Also, I’m not sure if they still have these, but I highly insist that everyone take advantage of the fast passes-(take a ticket, then return at the time alloted and one gets to hop in the sometimes shorter, designated fast-pass lane).

One last thing! If you’re planning on staying for a couple days I wouldn’t miss the California Adventures park! Alone, it’s not so impressive, but coupled with Disneyland it compliments the experience nicely.

Coeur D'Alene

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

This is the destination for outdoor lovers and enthusiasts alike. There is the beautiful Cd’A lake, it stretches 30 miles long, plenty of docks for kayaking and boat launching though some might require a permit?

The Centinnial bike trail is popular among Ironman athletes and everyday bicyclists as it runs from Spokane through Idaho. Whoops though access is not limited to biyclists, as strollers and pedestrians find it wonderful as well.

There’s a nearby theme park, Silverwood which boasts two wooden rollercoasters a new ride Panic Plunge along with many other rides and attractions, a waterpark with a giant wavepool and tube slides.

Thirty miles outside Coeur D’ Alene is Kellogg, where the world famous Dave Smith motors will give a great deal on a car> So he says> but there’s also Silver Mountain Ski Resort which is open in the summer for rides on “the worlds longest gondola”. some prefer to tote their bikes along and ride the rest of the way down. . . others remain for the concerts held at the top.

well, there’s so much to see. In the winter months Bald Eagles can be spotted from a special spot on the lake. It’s a rare occasion but I’ve heard the northern lights have been glimsped at times.

Though, I recommend for a real good time, one would do a bit of research and planning beforehand. There are attrations for every taste, one just has too look hard enough as some things are not broadcast or advertised. . . All in all, I think this is definitely a worthy stop for outdoorsy folks and families with children ages 10+ (only because some rides @ Silverwood, may not be user friendly for the tots. As for everyone else it may take, might I emphasize the need for thorough research. I would even recommend looking up CD’A’s tourist’s website or try the yellowpages directory to find exactly what Coeur D’ Alene really has to offer in order to appeal to all tastes!

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

What I imagine this place to be like

well, I can’t even imagine what it’ll be like since my only observations are derived from what I’ve seen on the travel channel and national geographic. . . I just don’t think a visit to Hawai’i would be complete without seeing the Nat’l Volcanoes Park! (I’ve always been fascinated with volcanoes ever since I was in the Philipines ‘91 and evacuated from Mt. Pinatubo)

Panama

Why I want to go to this place

Many a “while agos” I spent 2 1/2 of my childhood years in Panama City, attended DoDDs schools as my father was stationed here in the Air Force. I loved the tropical climate, the nearby (well surrounding) jungle with it’s wandering inhabitants, the colorful culture of the city, along with the always dependable lightning and thunderstorms. . .there’s too much to list. But, I’ve just got to go back for a visit! That’s why it’s one of my top priorities on places to visit.
