Great, fun, but not so much if you go when it is crazy busy. Do yourself a favor and splurge for a resort hotel or cheap one close by.

We stayed at the Californian I think, and we could see the fireworks from our room in such an amazing, beautiful display.

super yummy chinese and other foods, cheap too. at least where we ate. i like that i can bring my dog. really great bookstore there, just wandered in and got lost for a long time. all art books and such.

nice area to walk your dog near the beach.

Situated next to the cottage restaurant on aster street, is a little gem of a cafe. The garden is covered in vines and surrounded by the most beautiful, towering trees. There is all sorts of wirework artwork and other quirky pieces. Beautiful roses. A great place for breakfast or writing etc. AND, you can bring your dog. Check it out.

So many great memories of this place. Aside from the great grocery store thing they have going on, Whole Foods added something truly unique – well a few things actually.

A cafe, with just amazingly yummy real food. Not so unique in concept, but it’s the way they do it. Outside patio i mean HUGE patio seating, you can just walk up. This leads to the lower level of seating which includes a kid’s playground area, a greenbelt, and a place for live music.

DON’T miss this Austin experience!

Zilker park rocks. P stone is a cool place to sit and watch people. If you have kids, they will love climbing on the guys. Visit Barton Springs Pool right behind it, or better, go to the spillway to the left of BS Pool.

I feel like I’m on vacation every weekend. You have the beach, AND the mountains. National forests like Cleveland are fantastic for hiking. Real hiking. Like don’t fall off the mountain hiking.
