Tempting to eat outside, but I say eat inside as the bus station is just down the road and it gets a bit much when the buses are always going by.

Good place to live as it is so close to so many different hideaways like ski fields, hot pools and all the really “cool” South Island destinations.
When I’m jonzing for a bit of big city living, I can easily jet off to Sydney and then come back to the peace of Christchurch.

How could you not love the birth place of both of your parents and the place you got married.
I’d have to say one of the friendliest tropical islands in the area – but then again I am a bit biased.

I have been there several times in the span of 6 years – the last time being in 2004. I have really enjoyed seeing the place clean up over time but still keeping that big city grime that makes it so special.
Great place to visit.

A nice place to go instead of the very overpriced Frenc Riviera. Extremely easy to get around on foot – if your tired at the end of the day, take the antiquated Italian trains back. A walk from one”terra” to another will only take about an hour, the train abck 5 minutes.
Enjoy the cheaply priced but good read wine and though it is becoming rather touristy, it can’t possibly lose its charm

Once again another great islands with very friendly people. Feels much more often the beaten track than its neighbours Fiji and the likes. Though it is small enough to get around and feel safe on your own, there is still loads to do even if you just stay on Raratonga, the main land.
You’ll enjoy it if you like culture, music, beaching and relaxing.
