much to say about P.R. We stayed there for half a year or more, but never really did much. It’s not one of my fondest memories, living there, what with my mom working all the time and it just being a bore. I’ve actually got some pretty bad memories from that stay, but I liked the street festivities they had while I was there and there was this really beautiful nature park we went to. It was nice, and I wouldn’t say no to visiting just for old time’s sake.

the Bahamas. We sailed through there on our boat back when we used to do that sort of thing. I think my favourite island was Rum Cay. The people were so cool and I made alot of friends there.

There was also that island (I can’t remember the name) where we anchored out on Thanksgiving day. We got invited to eat Thanksgiving brunch with the islanders and then got invited for dinner by fellow sailors in the anchorage area. A really nice Thanksgiving, I loved it!

We also stayed at Nassau for a few days, because we had a problem with our engine (meaning my father dropped a little piece overboard and made me go diving to search for it every morning!) and it was at this island that I got my first Little House On The Prairie book. A family on another sailboat gave us a couple along with the full cassette works for the third Harry Potter book. Oh, and yes I managed to find the little engine piece my father dropped.

my family visited D.R. And it wasn’t really long ago, I was eleven so it was only…about five years ago. It was a nice experience, we travelled there by a sailboat which we owned at the time. During those days we went around sailing from island to islands, it was really laidback and we met some really excellent people here. I remember the ‘Chicken Shack’ in Luperon. That’s what my family called it, but it was called something else in spanish. Very nice place, and Santo Domingo has some really ancient buildings that made my stay there worthwhile just to see them!
