Belleville, Ontario
Bit of a trip...
…from where I live, but it was a pleasant drive. We went to visit some friends and had a nice afternoon together. It’s a nice looking city with lovely countryside.

over 2 years agoSome of the things to see in Ripley’s really are a Believe it or not moment. I’ve been here TWICE and each time it’s like you can’t see it all. If you have the money (we had coupons that got us in free BOTH times! very lucky us!) this is sure worth it!
A word about the shadow picture taker – my friends and I had SO MUCH fun with that thing! It was awesome and probably my favorite part in the whole museum.
over 4 years agoDunnville is just a quiet, unassuming little town. Most of Dunnville is made up of cattle farms and country properties. The downtown area isn’t much, either. It’s not exactly a “blink and you miss it” place, but this sweet little town isn’t eye catching, either.
My son was born here, under the Dunnville midwives wonderful care in their clinic. My husband and I attended Lamaze classes in Dunnville, too, and we are going for the class reunion shortly.
Our vet clinic is located here, and I have spent many a sleepless 2 am driving with my mom to their clinic to have an emergency c-section on one of her pugs.
The people in Dunnville are different. I’ve heard it said that Canadians are friendly to begin with, but even just going into the McDonalds and out again with a full order will prompt the cashier to ask you if you need assistance.
It is a bit of a drive for us, but it’s what you call a scenic drive. I love Dunnville and while there aren’t any specific landmarks or attractions (that I know of at least), a day trip to Dunnville is always a pleasure.
