I went to Arroyo de la Palma, Hildalgotitlan cera al Minatitlan, Veracruz just before Christmas. My wife is from there. She went to help her mother after an operation. It is a nice place. A man named Geraldo Estrada Venancio will make you some Beautiful Hand Made Wooden Furniture for you, his lovely daughter Nely can make a desert called Carla (A pudding with a homemade sweetbread, simular to generbread) that is very delicious. Then his brother Felix Estrad Venancio will make some Beautiful Rod Iron Furniture, Doors, Art, or Window Shutters for you (01152-922-73807).

Hard to find, and at times hard to get there. But I think it is worth the effort. (More info to follow)

Every fall the towns people and farmers have a festival called El Baile de los Campisinos Which is the Farmer’s Dance. It is to celibrate the end of summer and a lot of hard work.

Be careful, last year 2005 a man became so intoxicated that he got into a game of Russian Roulette and lost. What is so ironic about the whole thing was the fact that he was the one selling the beer.
