6/21/06 vs. Fla.: wow! an incredible ballpark. I was always skeptical about the claims that there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. We were in the top section of the lower deck in right field, and didn’t move down even though we could have.

This place is a beautiful tribute to baseball.

Made lots of summer trips here as a kid. I remember the scenery as being really beautiful and strikingly “un-Midwestern”.

What is there to do that is not family oriented?

The menu hasn’t changed much, but it’s still great. Lots more veg items than I remembered. The cava sangria is incredible (regular, the rosé was far too sweet with the strawberries).

went last weekend on the Ferry for the first time in 4 years. What a difference. It was a beautiful Sunday, just the right breeze from the Bay. The area around the ballpark and the Sept 11 memorial were a pleasant surprise. Not the SI I remembered.

I left Mogadishu hoping that in 10 years or so, it would become a livable and beautiful coastal city. Not much progress yet.
