Dad and stepmom got married on the Dunes. I have never seen a wedding couple as happy and relaxed as they were.

Try to get up here in the winter. Its a great xcountry ski.

You get a very small university city with culture and science and diversity, right in the middle of the woods on a giant lake. You can do anything if you live here: Symphony, plays, skiorking, skiing, swimming, sailing, biking, hiking, international foods.

I want to move back! I have been gone too long!

I’ll never have the cash dollars to do this again, ever in my life. I loved every last second i was there. I would sell my soul to be able to go back.

And depending upon your vacation needs, there is an island to suit you. It’s so cool.

visit here if its on your way. It is adorable, but so is every other village we saw. The George is a gorgeous pub and word has it a good place to stay.

If you are going to the UP anyway. It is a great little town, with a wonderful 4th July celebration. When the Lumberjack competition is in town, its a total blast. And of course the UP State Fair is right next door in Escanaba. The whitefishing is brilliant, and all of Stonington Peninsula is gorgeous.

There are plenty of nice places up there to vacation, i’m just partial to it since i grew up there :)
