Varkaus, Pohjois-Savo
I was born here...
Varkaus is a very, very, very small place and I can’t imagine any reasons for people to want to go there. It’s an industrial city, with a huge paper factory and a lot of wood industry, there’s about two streets in the city and, yeah, sure, there are a couple of interesting places to see… but – you won’t miss anything if you miss Varkaus.
The landscape is rather beautiful though. A lot of water and enough hills to give the area some variation.
And people are nice.
