I’m an army brat- transplanted here- been away and back now for 8 years. I guess I like it… it might just be the wanderlust in me that wants to go- somewhere- far from here. NORTH? CANADA? OUTWEST? Somewhere with democrats and catholics would be nice!
No offense to protestants and republicans- but sheesh some diversity would be nice!
over 5 years agoAs an army brat- but I still got the great experience of the German life. I learned the language, hung out with German kids, went to German stores and places and fests and well it made me who I am today! I loved visiting Garmisch, Chiemsee, Berlin, Cologne, and lived in Wurzburg & Kitzigen. (Bavaria). A beautiful country!
over 5 years agoLiving in Italy was wonderful- my husband was stationed there for over three years- it was our first station and well I hate to say it but we sure didn’t appreciate it as much as we should have. That is why one of my goals is to live more in the “NOW” because I did waste a lot of time there wanting to go back home. But, anyway, the pace of life in Italy is wonderful! The people take it slow and easy. They live life to the fullest. I also enjoyed the religion- being Roman Catholic- it sure was nice to be a in a CATHOLIC country. I know not all Italians are Catholic- but the majority are. And it was nice seeing holy days honored with closed stores and church bells. I truly enjoyed it. Miss it every day!
