London Heathrow Airport

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I flew through LHR both on my way to Dublin and on the way back home (Canada).

At the beginning of the trip, I was dead tired after an overnight flight with very little sleep, so I didn’t much feel like taking in the atmosphere. I must say though, I had no trouble getting where I needed to go – a shuttle bus and a subway all just to get to the other side of the airport seems like a hassle, but I found everything to be very efficient.

On my way back home, I had no time for anything. I booked my connection a little too tightly, so I basically had to run!

Next time I fly through or if I get to visit London, I will make sure to give myself a few hours to walk around and check it all out. There certainly seems to be a lot going on, and as major hub, it’d be great for people watching.

I live in Sudbury, which is about 4 hours north-west of Toronto. I’ve visited the lower half of the province – TO, Ottawa, Niagra – quite a few times. If you get to Toronto, make sure to drive out of the City to see some country – otherwise Toronto is a “big city” just like any other.

Blarney Castle

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I kissed the famous old Stone trying not to think of all the others that had done the same (or worse! ew!), but for me, the highlight was the castle’s grounds. I spent a lovely afternoon wandering around, taking it all in.

A must-visit in my opinion.

Beautiful!

Did the Cabot Trail, and loved it. Except for a grungy hotel the drive was great. Lovely scenery & friendly locals.

I went in ‘92 for the Olympics.
It was a great experience.
I’d love to get back at some point.

Ireland

Worth visiting!

April / May 2002

Absolutely the trip of my lifetime!!

I had wanted to go to Ireland for such a long time, it was so surreal to finally be there.

Every photo I have ever seen of Ireland fails to do the real thing any justice. The landscape is spectacular – it just took my breath away.

I can’t say enough about it to convey how much I truly LOVED the country – if you EVER get the chance to go – DO IT!!

National Gallery of Ireland

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

I am certainly not an artsy person, but I really enjoyed the National Gallery – especially the Yeats room. I found myself a favourite artist in there!
