I lived 23 years of my life here. If anyone has any questions, I’m happy to help.

Don’t forget to vandalize the picnic tables on the grounds with your signature. Add your name to the bazillion other tourists who have stopped by. :-)

Loved this city! It was my favorite part of my trip to Ireland. The people are real characters. They don’t act all pissy that you’re a tourist. They just treat you like anybody else. They’re happy to tell you stories about their lives and their city. Really laid back, but not aloof.

If you get a chance, stop into a pub with a stage for bands to play. Just sit, chill, drink and enjoy the music. It’s a nice alternative to running around from museum to museum and site to site. Also, for breakfast, I recommend a place called Kafka’s. It’s this cozy little diner decorated in bright orange. The service was good, and it’s near a number of hostels.
