Vancouver, British Columbia

11 days and counting!

My first trip to Vancouver is just 11 days away! I’ll be spending a week there with my best friend. We’re planning on spending 4 days on the mainland, and 3 on Vancouver Island. We’ve got spreadsheets listing various things we want to do and are still working out or final itinerary. I’m excited though!

I’ll also be celebrating my birthday during this trip. It’s a special one for me – not because of the age, but because it’s 2008. That means, my birthday is 08/08/08! Hee! While we’re there, I plan on getting a tattoo on my birthday to mark the special occasion. (That means, time for me to start looking into tattoo parlours in Vancouver.) I’m still working out the exact design, but the tattoo will be intertwined 8’s to mark the special day — it ends up looking quite a bit like a flower in the end.

I went to Disneyland back in 1992 with a large group of friends. We filled about 2 of the boats with our group. We had so much fun on this ride, acting like the obnoxious teenagers we were. We were rocking the boats (oops :x) and attempting to splash each other – in our own boat as well as the other boat with the other half of our group. We also sang along loudly with “A Pirate’s Life For Me” – probably to the annoyance of other riders. Like I said – we were obnoxious teens; but we definitely had a blast.
