It was where I was born and grew up. If you are working in glasgow then “the Port” is an ideal place to stay, 25 minutes from Glasgow by train and lots cheaper in rent. Drive to the top of dougliehill and just admire the scenery then try to think where else in the world has such beauty for free.
over 5 years agoStay in Portland OR and travel up to visit, St Helens is a must see but only for a visit.
over 5 years agoFrom the UK it is worth a weekend visit to Amsterdam, forget about the liberal drugs laws LOL, and take in the relaxed atmosphere and visit nearby Edam etc. There is too much to see in 1 weekend but enough to keep you talking and visiting for years to come.
