Kraków

Worth visiting!

Lovely.

I was here for nearly a week, and wish I’d had much more time! The people are very nice, the food is excellent, and the architecture inspiring. Look out for the city dragon!

2000 years of history

It’s like a cross section of the past two millennia! And really beautiful to boot.

Metropolitan Museum Of Art

Worth visiting!

Not to miss

The scale and diversity of this museum is incredible. I go back every time I’m in NYC, and there’s always something different to explore, whether it’s medieval art, arms and armor, ancient scrolls or contemporary work. Even if you’re not an arts buff, you’ll find something to love here—the size and strength of the place alone makes it worth a visit.

Simply lovely!

Great fun to drive through the fields when the flax and rape are growing…

Kansas

Worth visiting!

Worth it because...

the rest of the United States needs to understand why these folks think and vote the way they do…otherwise we’ll never all learn to get along!

New Orleans

Worth visiting!

Indescribably cool.

The people are what made New Orleans what it is—I hope that we can all pitch in to help those who want to come home and rebuild, it’s simply too special to let go.

Teotihuacán

Worth visiting!

Well worth it!

This was an absolutely wonderful experience-both the beauty of the Temples and the surrounding buildings, as well as the exhiliration of surviving the steep way down from the Temple of the Sun. :)

Taxco

Worth visiting!

Beautiful.

If you go during the holidays, warm up with pozole or some ponche. Absolutely delicious! And more importantly, the people are wonderful, if accustomed to a steady stream of tourists…

Bari

(in Italy > Puglia)

Worth visiting!

Fascinating.

I also traveled to Bari en route to Croatia, and found it to be a pleasant surprise with winding, helter skelter streets in the old town, men diligently smashing octopi on the wharf rocks, and lots of eating and drinking establishments baking in the afternoon sun. Don’t just hang out at the train station or ferry port if you’re passing through—it’s worth your while to do some exploring!
