There are those often too rare times in your life where you just feel at peace. Everything is in it’s place. I love those times. This was one of those experiences for me. The river was beautiful, the weather was hot, the vendors were cool people, the music was awesome, the vibe was chill, the food was tasty, the beer as cold, I was centered.
In particular, check out the band Woven Roots if you get a chance. Good music.

I went with friends to see the “awesome” light display today that I’ve heard so much about. Cons: I’ve seen better for free just driving around. Pros: The $3 per car fee was reasonable and they did have good free hot cider and cookies.
It would be fun for small children who may find it more spectacular. Maybe I would enjoy the park better during the summer when all the roses are blooming…

Pretty good pizza. Yummy crust. I saw a Middle Eastern/Bellydance show there tonight. :) Middle Estern dance performances every 3rd Friday a month. I will be going back.

Took a connecting flight from here way back in 1998. Couldn’t have made it to where I was going easily otherwise. It gets a default “worth visiting”. Other than that, didn’t see much of it. There was snow hugging the ground in places though! As a coastal girl I don’t see much of it.

Looks like I might go next week! Just need that flight/hotel package and Tool tickets await me! French Quarter :)

I had a very yummy sandwich and a beer here for lunch in October ‘07. Mmmm…
The view is quite nice also.
