Delicious food, wonderful service, packed on a Tuesday night.

My cherubs loved it and it has so much charm since it’s an old Pharmacy from the bygone era.

I had the Spinach Triangle, which was soooo delicous, and the Famous Monroe’s Bread.

For desert we all shared the Amazing sorbets (3 different flavors – lemon sorbet served in a lemon; peach sorbet served in a peach and coconut sorbet served in a coconut!)

I hadn’t seen the Washington Post article about it, but I’m glad I found it on my own. The place is definitly worth the trip and we’ll be back very soon.

Grant Community High School – My Alma Mater (if you hadn’t guessed).

Spent many a day planning on how to get outta this town, but it does have a charm in there still.

I recommend to all adults and kids to see a play at this theater! It is truely amazing and very magestic.

I’ve seen at least 6-8 plays, but my favorites were “Raisin in the Sun”, the perennial favorite – “A Christmas Carol”, and the local favorite – “A Tuna Christmas”.

• Baby panda’s 1st birthday ~ loved the humongous bamboo and fruit popsicle
• Boo at the Zoo ~ No child should miss this event. Trick Or Treating at it’s safest and best as you collect treats and see the animals at night and millions of other Trick Or Treaters dressed up
• ZooFari – No Adult should miss this! OMG one of the most delicious and coolest ways to spend an evening with all you can eat from great restaurants in the city
• GuppyGala – You’ve Gotta take your kids, just once! Similar to ZooFari but totally overboard on the kid theme. Way too overwhelming for them, and hard to pack it all into one night, but soooo worth it (just take the pictures early on)
• My daughter’s 4th birthday party – They gave us a private room and had a tour guide walk our group through the Ape House. A Great Day (without messing up our house) and made me eligible for the Best Mom Award from her and her friends.

Woodley Park is one of my favorite places in DC. It is so serene you can easily forget you are in the middle of the nations capitol. The restaurants are usually great and the people here nicer than any you’ll get near 16 & Penn.

I just didn’t get it, maybe modern art isn’t for me. Loved the outdoor pieces, especially the balloon above the water (which is amazing at night lit up and in itself maybe worth a trip) but the interior stuff, I could definitely pass on.

This is one of my favorite places in the world! I’ve been going here since it was Marriott’s Great America (only locals would remember that name). Great happy family memories in every nook and cranny. My favorite photograph is that of me in front of the carousel and my daughter when she was 6months old.
