Great country, wonderful people, amazing wildlife. I still have friends there and hope to go back again this summer.

My tip to those actually going is to most definitely go outside of Antananarivo because Tana is nothing like the rest of the country. That said, when they tell you the country’s infrastructure is bad there it’s a gross UNDERSTATEMENT, you’ll need time (and patience) to get around, including by plane as they don’t always run on schedule, but it’s more than worth it.

My best friend moved there for grad school this year [and then promptly returned due to the whole hurricane thing] so now I finally get to go down and visit him there next weekend. I’ve wanted to see the city for a while now so I’m excited!

I am a beer drinker and this place brews what is hands down my favorite beer in the world. Oh how I miss it…
