So I was meeting this guy at Praia Mole that I knew through friends in San Diego and he called my cell phone and I told him to meet me at a bar/restaurant located near the big rocks at the far end of the beach…. somehow I did not notice that it was ALL guys inside most in tiny little swimsuits. I ordered a drink, looked around, and no less than 3 people came up talking to me – mostly wealthy looking Europeans. A bit strange since it was not expected. Ryan showed up just as I figured out what was going on, takes a look around, and gives me this look like “I didnt know you were gay”. Long story short, if you meet others at the far end of Praia Mole be prepared so the joke is on them and not you.

Florianopolis is great! I recommend you make accomidations somewhere for about 2-3 days and spend that time finding somewhere else to stay. Booking online is so much more expensive than once you get there… Campeche beach is quiet and fun, Lagoa Connection has a bus station that makes it easy to go everywhere so I like it. Praia Mole is a fun surfer beach with drinks and food. I live in floripa 3 months every year (summer)

For the past three years I fly out to Winchester Virginia from San Diego to experience spring on the east coast. There is a huge festival in Winchester, VA called Apple Blossom right around May 1st every year – Highly reccomended. About 250k people crowed into a town that normally holds 30k and they all celebrate spring. Beautiful place good people and great times.

I’m living in Buzios for three months, one month is up, and I absolutely love it.

So I am downtown San Diego with a friend and we see a lot of odd looking people, then realize it is Comic-Con! For the firs time ever I decided to visit the show, and this is where it gets really fun. I walk up to the registration booth and when I tell them my first and last name, they ask for my ID, and then explain I am VIP and entry is free etc..etc..

Someone who means something in the comic world must have the same name as me, once inside it was fun, but maybe just because I felt so special.
