about a mile east of the falls (at least, i am pretty sure it is east) is a little park on a cliff. There is a stairwell leading down into the most incredible hiking trails. We take our daughter hiking there at least once a year. You can hike all the way down along the river to the whirlpool, where the gondola crosses. It’s totally beautiful and perfect for family hiking.

over 6 years agoEverything is SOOO green, very mystical. Haida Gwaii is beautiful, the smoked fishes are AMAZING. A little cold and rainy when I went, but still had a wicked time.
